Athletic Advantage HitTrax Leagues combine competition, technology, and athlete development in a fun, game-like environment. Using HitTrax performance data and simulated gameplay, athletes compete with friends and peers while receiving meaningful repetitions, tracking measurable performance, and developing confidence through structured, competitive play.
What is HitTrax?
HitTrax is a baseball and softball tracking system that provides immediate feedback during hitting sessions and simulated gameplay.
HitTrax can measure and display exit velocity, launch angle, hit distance, contact quality, ball flight and projected outcomes, offensive statistics and performance trends, and more.
Athletes can also participate in simulated games, competitions, and league play while tracking measurable progress over time.
What is a HitTrax League?
HitTrax Leagues are open to all age groups and designed to create a fun, competitive, and game-like training environment for baseball and softball athletes.
In the HitTrax League, players focus solely on hitting, with no defense or pitching involved. Each game is played in a virtual MLB stadium, and the field size and defensive settings are automatically adjusted to match the hitter's age and skill level, allowing for mixed-age and skill teams. Games are six innings or 30 minutes long, whichever comes first, and all games are doubleheaders. The home team selects the field, and teams switch home/visitor roles for the second game.
Games utilize age-appropriate live pitching provided by an Athletic Advantage staff coach to create a more realistic gameplay experience while maintaining structure and pace.
Throughout the season, league standings, as well as team and individual stats, are tracked. Prizes are awarded, adding excitement and competition to the season.
League Format
Each team will compete in an eight-game regular season over the first four weeks, with standings determining postseason placement. Following the regular season, teams will be divided into Gold and Silver brackets to create balanced, competitive playoff matchups.
Week 5 features best-of-three playoff series to determine final league standings. Every team returns for Championship Night in Week 6, featuring a Home Run Derby followed by the championship game between the top two teams and a consolation game between the remaining teams.
Team Info
Teams may register as a pre-formed team (preferred) or athletes may register individually to be placed on a free-agent team if space is available. Teams consist of 3–5 players, although we strongly recommend carrying four or five players to help account for individual absences and avoid forfeits.
Teams may include athletes of different ages and skill levels. HitTrax automatically adjusts game play based on each hitter's age, creating a balanced and competitive experience regardless of team composition. This flexibility allows friends, siblings, and teammates to compete together while still providing fair, age-appropriate gameplay.
